A WholeBody approach delivered with precision

You are a unique expression of life on earth.

Your Session

I provide precise treatment to your main areas of concern, while supporting full body integration of any changes as they occur. My primary techniques include fascial mobilization and release, cranio-sacral therapy and visceral mobilization. These techniques involve grip and light stretch. Use of lotion is minimal, if it is used at all. These techniques can be applied through your clothing.

I will address the symptoms in the areas that are troubling you and treat other areas that maybe contributing to your symptoms. For example, symptoms of Tennis Elbow may benefit from treatment of the hand, wrist and forearm. Hip pain may be referred from the low back. The goal is to provide relief of your familiar symptoms as well as address any structural patterns that may be contributing to your symptoms.

Current Rates

60 minutes $120

90 minutes $160

90 minutes is recommended for your first visit in order to ensure that there is enough time for a thorough treatment, after the initial assessment. Credit cards are accepted and online booking is available.

Techniques

All sessions incorporate the following techniques depending on the reasons for your visit, and what the assessment reveals.

Cranial Sacral Therapy

Cranial sacral therapy is a type of bodywork that relieves compression in the bones of the head, pelvic girdle, and spinal column.

It uses gentle pressure on the head, neck, and back to relieve the stress and pain caused by compression.

The goal is to relieve compression in the head, neck, and back, soothing pain and releasing stress and tension.

It is also used  to help restore cranial mobility and ease or release restrictions of the head, neck, and nerves.

Fascial Release

Fascial Release  approaches the tissues of your body in a manner that engages their mechanical properties to create release of holding patterns & restrictions in the body. This form of therapy does not use lotion.

Fascia is a connective tissue in the body that surrounds, envelopes and infuses every structure – including, but not limited to;  muscle fibers, muscle groups, bone, tendon, nerve sheaths, organs(viscera) and  skin.

Fascia has an incredible tensile strength, which can create very intense holding patterns in the body that do not generally respond to other soft tissue techniques.

Fascial Release  can contribute to ease in your movements, relief of your  pain, as well as improve your sense of well being.

Visceral Mobilization

Visceral Mobilization releases strains and tension in your organs and related fascia.

Strains in the connective tissue of the viscera can result from surgical scars, adhesions, illness, posture or injury. These patterns may create a cascade of effects far from their sources for which the body will have to compensate.

Visceral Mobilization is used to improve the functioning of your organs, dissipate the negative effects of stress, and enhance mobility through connective tissue attachments.

The goal is to relieve pain and dysfunction, and support improved posture.

Your Therapist

Brian Mount RMT

I graduated from WCCMT in 1997. I am especially grateful for the additional training I have received in Fascial Release, Visceral Mobilization and Cranial Sacral Techniques. Learning about the neural effects of trauma and interpersonal neurobiology support a trauma-aware approach in our work together.

Continuing education and self-care have informed and sustained my practice. I have received all of the the techniques I use. I know them inside and out.

I am particularly interested in supporting you in having a deeper relationship with your body. I’d like to work with you on chronic patterns and symptoms that persist (and sometimes appear) long after the initiating injury or surgery. It is very satisfying to see a gradual increase in activity and a reduction of your symptoms in patterns that seemed as though they were here to stay.

I am supported and energized through travel, cycling, practicing Qi Gong in our beautiful parks, trying new recipes, and (I’ll admit it) Netflix.
